In Golberg's book Writing Down the Bones 2nd Edition basically talks about writing and how the reader understands it. What stood out to me is the first chapter, Marry the Fly. Which basically talks about descriptive writing what could make someone a excellent writer.
   Marry the Fly was about how a writer could get to descriptive that could loose or confuse the reader. It talks about a fly on a table at the restaurant but, talking about the fly on the napkin to much could confuse the reader.  But the fly on the napkin could give a whole description of the restaurant.
   Overall, this chapter tells me that personally as a writer you would want the reader to understand what you are talking about as a writer. It encourages me to be more descriptive but not to much because the purpose of my writing is to let people understand what I am writing about no loose them. Loosing the audience can cause them not to be interested in what you are writing about. That's why most poems people read sometimes have people lost because too many descriptive words can make the poem get to off topic.
